"Are you passionate about helping people move and feel better – beyond just joint adjustments?
We’re looking for a unique associate chiropractor to join our exceptional team at Colonias Chiropractic Center in beautiful Taos, New Mexico. This is not a high-volume role. Instead, it’s a chance to learn and grow under the mentorship of a true pioneer in myofascial care, Dr. Lucy Whyte Ferguson.
What We’re Looking For
You don’t need to be an expert in soft tissue techniques - just committed to learning and mastering them. We want someone who understands that spinal and joint manipulation are central to chiropractic care, but believes true patient progress often comes from integrating precise myofascial treatment.
At Colonias, we don’t just repeat the same adjustments week after week. By addressing myofascial trigger points (mTrPs) and their very specific referral patterns, we help the body reorganize, break old pain cycles, and achieve lasting change. You’ll be impressed by how quickly patients improve, and your reputation will grow as patients share with friends and family that your care is unlike anything they’ve experienced before.
As Dr. Ferguson gradually steps back from clinical work, you’ll step forward into a vital role in our clinic and community.
What We’re Offering
- A rare opportunity to be mentored by Dr. Ferguson, a nationally recognized expert in myofascial dysfunction, trained by Dr. Janet Travell herself.
- Hands-on training in treating complex conditions like frozen shoulder, hip impingement, scoliosis, and chronic injury rehab.
- Comprehensive training in combining spinal manipulation with myofascial care - learning how to adapt for patients who may not tolerate osseous adjustments and how to achieve more effective outcomes with less force.
- A steady flow of patients - no need to market or recruit. We have a long waiting list and strong referral base.
- Supportive, integrated team: 3 chiropractors, 3 massage therapists, and a medical doctor.
- A community that appreciates thorough, evidence-based care - no assembly-line adjusting here.

At Colonias Chiropractic Center, spinal and joint manipulation are central to our care — always delivered alongside precise myofascial treatment. You’ll also learn additional ways to restore joint function in patients who don’t tolerate osseous adjustments, allowing you to help people make faster, longer-lasting changes.
We don’t simply repeat the same manipulations week after week. By integrating myofascial care, we help the body reorganize instead of slipping back into old patterns. This approach often requires less force to achieve excellent spinal releases, while producing better results. Using the highly specific referral maps of myofascial trigger points (mTrPs), you’ll learn to identify the true sources of pain and tailor care with precision.
The outcome? Patients improve more quickly, share their positive experiences with friends and family, and your skills in treating even severe or chronic conditions grow to a whole new level.
If you’re ready to practice at this level of comprehensive excellence, join us at Colonias Chiropractic Center."
