"Hey everyone, my name is Reece, and I'm thrilled to announce that I am the newest addition to the CJO Brand Ambassador team. A little bit about myself: I am an English South African currently living in Sydney, Australia. I was born in the UK, grew up in South Africa, and now currently living in Sydney. I am in my fifth and final year of my Master of Chiropractic degree at Macquarie University, and I am excited to achieve my qualification by the end of the year and embark on my career in chiropractic.
What made you want to be a chiropractor?
My passion for becoming a chiropractor started about five years ago after moving to Australia, although my interest in the human body and its performance has always been a significant part of my life as an athlete. I have competed at provincial and national levels in athletics, hockey, and rugby, and have enjoyed playing many other sports for fun. My journey into studying the human body and its performance began with my first degree, a Bachelor of Sport and Exercise Science, with the initial goal of going into biokinetics and dealing with high performance athletes. However, upon moving to Australia, I discovered that biokinetics was not offered here. Fortunately, I was offered a scholarship for a Bachelor of Chiropractic Science, and since starting my chiropractic journey five years ago, my passion for the field of chiropractic has only grown. I am passionate about providing the best and most appropriate and most up to date evidence-based care to improve my patients’ outcomes and overall well-being.
What are you most looking forward to in the Brand Ambassador Program?
As a new member of the CJO Brand Ambassador team, I am looking forward to the opportunity to connect and collaborate with other chiropractors from around the world. I am excited to share my journey, exchange ideas, and inspire others to pursue this rewarding path, while also learning from my peers, colleagues and other experienced chiropractors!"
